Solar Activity Moderately High

Source - Space Weather News for August 18, 2012:

SOLAR ACTIVITY PICKS UP: Following a week of quiet, solar activity is picking up again with a series of M-class solar flares off the sun's northeastern limb.  So far none of the eruptions has been Earth-directed.  This could change, however, with the approach of an active farside sunspot that appears set to turn toward our planet in the days ahead.  Check for movies and forecasts.

SOLAR FLARE ALERTS: Would you like a call when solar flares are underway? X-flare alerts are available from (text) and (voice).
