POLAR
GEOMAGNETIC STORMS: A hole in the sun's atmosphere is spewing solar
wind toward Earth, and this is sparking bright auroras around the poles
on Oct. 11th. At the time of this alert, a G1-class geomagnetic storm
is underway. NOAA forecasters estimate a 70% chance of continued storms
at high latitudes on Oct. 12th and 13th as Earth moves deeper into the
solar wind stream.
